Overview

A degree each in Global Studies and Science will give you the skill set to understand the complex challenges facing cultures and communities around the world and the opportunity to apply your knowledge to affect change. With this combination, you will think globally and study globally - overseas travel being a requirement of the course.

Flexibility and choice is available through four global studies specialisations and a comprehensive range of science majors.

The combination offers practical skills attractive to employers, including a high level of numeracy, data analysis, information literacy, problem solving, communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work in teams.

Your international perspective and highly developed scientific skills will open up a variety of opportunities in traditional and emerging areas of science and in science policy and communication.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in one of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geography, Maths: Mathematical Methods, Maths: Specialist Mathematics, Physics or Psychology.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
