Overview

This course will allow you to achieve an undergraduate qualification in science with a major in biological sciences, chemistry or physics. You can tailor your course through elective courses giving you the flexibility to combine your major field of study with a variety of other science courses.

With a focus on practical experiences you’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to real-world projects and receive hands-on experience through field studies and laboratory practical classes.

In first year, you'll explore core science concepts across physical, life, data and mathematical science disciplines and develop key scientific and transferable skills. With access to state-of- the-art facilities you will be job-ready when you graduate. Your final year includes a science project that may be linked to industry.

As a graduate you may choose to enter the commercial sector, pursue a career in teaching or continue your academic career in research at a masters or PhD level.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
