Overview

Biotechnology addresses today's urgent challenges and scientific issues, such as human, animal and plant health and their adaptation to the environment; food supply for a growing population; and sustainable solutions for waste treatment and renewable energy. This multidisciplinary course focuses on theoretical insights into biological molecules, processes, organisms, and the systems and interactions between them.

In your final year you'll conduct a variety of field, research and laboratory investigations and choose your major in Molecular Biology or Microbiology. You'll graduate with a solid theoretical background and hands-on skills in molecular cloning, gene technologies, disease treatment and prevention, drug production, food production, environmental sustainability and more to equip you for a career in the diverse biotechnology sector.
