Overview

This course allows you to prepare for a career as a scientist in the field of physics. In first year you'll explore core science concepts across physical, life, data and mathematical science disciplines and develop key scientific and transferable skills.

From that broad base, you will specialise in material, thermal, optics, radiation, electromagnetism and quantum physics and IT courses. Knowledge is always complimented with practical experiences in laboratory and modelling courses.

With a focus on practical experiences, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to real-world projects and receive hands-on experience through field studies and laboratory practices.

With access to state-of-the-art facilities you will be job-ready when you graduate. Your final year includes a science project that may be linked to industry. A graduate may choose to enter the commercial sector or pursue their career in teaching or through further studies by research.
