Develop the skills to enhance the wellbeing of people who have experienced personal or social difficulties. Focus on key areas such as behavioural and social sciences, human service practice, human service management, and social policy. You'll also choose two arts majors (see below) that will enhance your learning in areas that interest you most.
Gain practical experience through our social work and human services studios on campus and complete over 500 hours of supervised placements. You'll attend classes on campus with the possibility to study some courses online.
Graduate with, degree recognised by the Australian Community Workers Association and be eligible for full membership. Students will be required to undertake Criminal History Checks through the Department of Human Services (DHS), SAPOL National Police Record Check and complete, one-day Safe Environments for Children and Young People course prior to being accepted for work placements. To be eligible for placement, providers may also require students to be screened and provide evidence of their vaccination status, hold, driver's licence, and/or meet additional requirements.
