Overview

Explore advanced coursework and research in social work theory, practice and policy. Develop in-depth knowledge in the political, behavioural and social sciences as they apply to contemporary social work practice. Contribute to new knowledge by completing a major research project in your final year focusing on a specific area of interest. Learn from highly recognised researchers who are leaders in their field. Focus your degree by choosing to incorporate a minor in Children, Families and Society. Access custom-built social work studios on campus and practise your practical skills through simulated scenarios. Build on your experience through practical work placements during your third and fourth years of study. Graduate with a degree accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers and be eligible for full membership.

Continue your studies through a postgraduate research degree and be part of the ongoing development of essential social work research and industry best practice.

All courses in the first and second year are available in flexible mode (external and/or intensive delivery). Some courses are also offered in summer and winter schools.
