Combine your interest in sport and coaching when you study sport at UOW. You will stand out from the crowd with The Bachelor of Sport as you explore key aspects of sport and the role it plays in the community. You will develop a strong foundation of knowledge based on movement and the disciplines associated with sport and coaching. On completion, you will be equipped with the work-ready skills and knowledge to engage with a range of sporting environments, including coaching, game development, sports management, sports operations, and program delivery.
You'll benefit by learning from recognised and passionate leaders in their fields. You will learn core fundamental knowledge across practical, theoretical, and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects, as well pairing your studies in sport with a major or minor of your choosing from a diverse range of options including photography, sports management and marketing, journalism, and politics. This will allow you to complement your studies in sports and enhance your career opportunities.
Throughout this degree, you will gain hands-on experience through a capstone workplace research project and make meaningful professional connections across the broader field.
Biomechanics, coaching, game analysis, game development, human movement, pedagogy (education). Students also take a major from a diverse range of options, allowing them to tailor their degree to their interests.
Coaching, game development, management, operations and program delivery in community, private, professional or government sporting organisations in Australia or abroad, program development and delivery in the health and disability sector.
