Overview

In our Bachelor of Visual Arts, you'll gain valuable skills in a range of media then dive into your art practice with access to specialised facilities including painting and drawing studios, a digital lighting studio, photographic darkrooms, and sculpture and printmaking workshops.

Gain valuable experience through an industry placement at organisations like Bendigo Art Gallery and La Trobe Art Institute and build your professional networks. You’ll also get your own personal studio space from day one, where you can hone your skills and connect with like-minded artists.

Tailor your uni experience the way you want with La Trobe's study model. From on-campus to online study – or a combination of both – you can design study to fit around your life. Explore your interests or build an essential skill when you choose open access majors, minors and electives from across the university.
