Overview

The Bachelor of Security Studies can be combined with one of the following master degrees:

  • Master of Counter Terrorism
  • Master of Criminology
  • Master of Cyber Security Analysis
  • Master of Intelligence
  • Master of Security and Strategic Studies.
  • Our world is experiencing a set of security challenges unparalleled in history. The Australian Government and the private sector need security specialists with the knowledge, skills and creativity to respond to such dynamic and complex challenges.

    In this combined bachelor + master degree, you’ll learn about security from a range of perspectives – cybersecurity, intelligence, counter terrorism, risk management, emergency response, national resilience, business continuity planning, law enforcement and the use of military force. You’ll then specialise in your selected interest during your master degree.

    Note: You’ll be able to nominate the master degree when you enrol into the bachelor degree. You’re required to achieve a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 to remain in this degree after the completion of 160 credit points. If you don't maintain the required WAM, you'll be permitted to continue your studies in the bachelor degree only. You can commence your m aster degree once you have completed your bachelor degree.
