The Diploma in Engineering has been designed to deliver a core knowledge base that prepares you with the appropriate academic literacy, research, science, mathematics, and introductory engineering skills required for further study. The diploma also offers the opportunity to upskill and gain a qualification. You will learn to think critically, solve emerging issues, innovate, and expand your skills and knowledge across a range of areas.
You will receive embedded support from the Pathways and Academic Learning Support Centre, including access to a dedicated Student Liaison Officer, a quiet workspace for independent study and smaller class sizes in your foundational courses.
You will complete one course from the directed list of courses, providing you with a taste of one of the discipline areas within our 12 engineering specialisations.
The Diploma in Engineering provides you with a level 5 diploma qualification and offers a guaranteed entry pathway into all disciplines of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree.
