Overview

Want a big life? Push yourself to learn more. China is the world's second-largest economy and a crucial partner in Australia's economic success. Nearly 20% of our global population speaks their official language. In a fast-changing world, mastering Mandarin will only open doors.

What will you do?

Our Diploma in Languages (Chinese Studies) is set up so you can study a language alongside your primary degree. It will usually add an extra year to your time at university. You will:

  • learn to speak, read and write Mandarin Chinese
  • develop an understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture
  • study Chinese influence in modern society
  • improve your knowledge of how language works
Where could it take you?

Adding a language to your resume will give you a competitive edge in almost every single field. Whether your primary degree is in social work, biomedical science or business, a diploma will expand the horizons of your career.
