Overview

Want to go beyond 'Buongiorno'? Italy has one of the richest cultural heritages in Western civilisation. Today, it is one of the world's top ten economies by GDP and a major trading partner with Australia, making the Italian language a pathway to industry internships, employment, collaboration and research.

What will you do?

Our Diploma in Languages (Italian Studies) is set up so you can study a language alongside your primary degree. It will usually add an extra year to your time at university. You will:

  • learn to speak, read and write Italian
  • develop an understanding and appreciation of Italian culture
  • improve your knowledge of how language works
  • study Italian influence in modern society
Where could it take you?

You could work in international business. You might want to be a cultural curator. Perhaps you're interested in teaching, tourism, or translation. Adding a language to your resume will give you a competitive edge in almost every single field.
