Overview

Students undertake the Diploma in Arts as an alternative pathway that will guarantee entry into UniSA and UniSA Onlines most popular arts-related degrees.

The Diploma in Arts is a two-year program providing a direct pathway into Aboriginal Studies; Animation and Visual Effects; Applied Linguistics; Architectural Studies; Arts; Creative Writing and Literature; Communication and Media; Communication Design; Comicbook Creation; Contemporary Art; Creative Industries; Cultural Studies; Design; Digital Media; Early Childhood Education; English Language; Festivals; Film and Television; Games Design and Production; History and Global Politics; Illustration and Animation; Interior Architecture; Journalism and Professional Writing; Languages; Law, Policy and Politics; Marketing and Communication; Performing Arts; Primary Education; Product Design; Psychology; Secondary Education; Screen Studies; Social Media; Social Science; Social Work; or Sociology degrees with UniSA. Pathways to online programs are also available including Communication; Criminal Justice; Digital Media; Marketing and Communication; Psychology; and Psychological Science and Sociology.

In the first year, you'll complete introductory courses in your disciplinary area of focus as well as core courses that will develop your critical writing, communication, numeracy, and research skills. In the second year, you'll start studying first-year courses from your linked UniSA or UniSA Online degree. You'll access the same lectures and tutorials as other first-year bachelor students, but you can rely on UniSA College for extra support.

Upon successful completion of the diploma, students will seamlessly transition into the second year of their selected UniSA degree.
