Overview

English or Spanish? Porque no los dos? Over 450 million people speak Spanish as their first language - and many more speak it as a second. Native speakers of Spanish can be found in more than twenty countries, and it is the third most studied language in the world. This diversity means graduates will be met with a wealth of opportunities for their professional future.

What will you do?

Our Diploma in Languages (Spanish Studies) is set up so you can study a language alongside your primary degree. It will usually add an extra year to your time at university. You will:

  • learn to speak, read and write Spanish
  • improve your knowledge of how language works
  • build your intercultural skills
  • study societies and cultures that speak Spanish
Where could it take you?

Perhaps you're interested in translation, teaching or tourism. You might pursue international business. You could be a filmmaker, a journalist, or the next Duolingo mascot! Adding a language to your resume will give you a competitive edge in almost every single field.
