Overview

If you have the drive and desire to study Science and/or Science Education but don't quite meet the entry level for Monash or have missed a prerequisite, particularly mathematics, the Diploma of Higher Education (DoHE) can help you achieve your goals.

You begin studying towards your Monash science degree from day one. You will study in two of the following areas: Biological Science, Chemistry, Geosciences, Mathematics and Physics. This will provide a foundation in key scientific principles while you determine your future major area of study. You will also strengthen your general academic skills and mathematics.

Upon successful completion of the DoHE you can apply to enter into second year of Science or Education (Honours)/Science.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).

Majors

Biology, Chemistry, Earth science, Geosciences, Mathematics, Physics, Science.
