Overview

Suited to those who have decided to study an IT degree but don't have the entry requirements after completing VCE, have an unscored VCE, or are considering going to university after completing VCAL.

Develop skills in mathematics, physical sciences, computing, design and materials - the foundations of engineering. This diploma will prepare you for undergraduate study and will include first year undergraduate engineering subjects allowing you to fast track into second year of your chosen engineering degree. There are 3 specialisations including Civil, Mechanical and Mechatronic Systems Engineering.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 18 in any English.

Potential Career Outcomes

Successful completion of the Diploma of University Studies allows you to progress to the 2nd year of selected Bachelor-level programs, providing the opportunity to gain employment qualifications needed in the field of Engineering
