Overview

As the digital revolution has unfolded, it becomes clear that our capacity to collect extraordinarily large datasets currently far outweighs our capacity to manipulate and examine this 'big data' in search of evidence-based solutions. This degree will provide you with the skills to analyse, manipulate, model, interpret and present large data sets using digital platforms and tools, such as Python, Tableau, Hadoop and SQL, ensuring you can play an integral role in the new data-driven world.

With this degree, you can take a leap into one of data science's most dynamic areas - big data analytics. With a particular focus on the end-to-end process, you'll gain an understanding of the standard approaches to storing and managing different types of data, as well as analytics techniques such as time series, textual data and graph data. You'll also be equipped to design intuitive and compelling data visualisations to improve communication and accessibility of your findings.
