Overview

As the energy sector rapidly evolves, it’s essential that engineers stay on top of the latest technology. This degree will upgrade your engineering credentials so you can play a part in the clean energy revolution. You will deepen your knowledge in the expanding area of renewable energy engineering, including solar, wind and biomass. Additionally, you’ll also investigate the cutting-edge energy efficiency technologies, including passive energy, and energy recovery, which are a key part of the modern energy system.

Managing resources in a dynamic energy system is also a crucial aspect of this degree. It requires strategy and agile management to make the system resilient to shocks and the vagaries of the weather. To ensure you have these skills, you’ll learn about estimating and evaluating of energy resources; forecasting, modelling and simulation of renewable energy systems; and energy demand management.
