The Bachelor of Environmental Design is a broad study area incorporating architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and environmental planning.It promotes synergy between objects and settings, built form and landscape across a range of scales, climates and cultures. Incorporating architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and environmental planning, it includes the analysis, conception and representation of places, objects and policies as they shape our environments.?
Architecture is the conceptualisation and design of individual buildings and urban landscapes in response to existing and emerging social, economic, environmental and technological needs. The majors prepare you for postgraduate studies by introducing you to a range of technologies and production methods. You'll also make investigations into design communication, sustainable design and relevant historical, theoretical and ethical aspects of architecture. At the end of your degree you'll be able to use your facility for creative and rational inquiry to analyse design problems and develop design propositions that engage with global ideas and questions.
