Griffith University - N/A
Begin your career in teaching with this undergraduate certificate. It includes four first-year courses from our Bachelor of Education, so you can experience tertiary level study without committing to the entire degree. You’ll graduate with a certificate that’s recognised by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and which is a gateway to a bachelor degree.
The courses included in this certificate introduce you to the theory that underpins the work of educators. You’ll explore the practice of teaching in historic and cultural contexts and the ways in which social beliefs and attitudes influence the design and delivery of different forms of education.
The factors that influence students’ educational experiences and outcomes, including for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, are also important lessons you will learn. By graduation, you’ll understand what it means to be a professional, ethical and quality educator in the 21st century, with an informed knowledge of diversity and social justice.
The ATAR and Selection Rank profile is not available for this course.
