Overview

Electronic and computer system engineers specialise in design, implementation and operation of electronic and computer-based systems used in every-day life.

At RMIT, our electronic and computer systems engineering degrees go beyond the theory and put concepts into practice. You'll work on projects to develop skills in the design, development, production, maintenance and operation of all things to do with electronic, embedded systems and computer-based devices, and you will have a wide range of options to specialise your degree.

This course provides you with the fundamental knowledge of electronic circuit design, microcontrollers / microprocessors, digital communications, computer networks, telecommunications and the Engineering principles behind the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

You’ll also gain the skills to create new opportunities for businesses by driving new technologies, and devise engineering solutions to make businesses more productive and competitive.
