Flinders' city campus at Festival Plaza is a place where potential meets possibility. Please note only Year 1 topics of this course will be available in 2024. If you have been granted credit transfer or wish to apply for credit transfer for this course on the basis of previous study and you are granted credit, this may mean you will not be able to enrol in Year 2 or higher year topics, nor able to enrol on a full-time basis until 2025.
Students will work with partners to design machine learning applications that can be deployed across a wide variety of industries, studying a broad range of both information technology and machine learning topics. They will have the opportunity to engage with multi-disciplinary teams from across the University in the design and construction of knowledge-based AI-driven systems, gaining insight into the current trends in knowledge engineering and its uses.
On completion this degree graduates will be able to develop sophisticated solutions to complex problems using machine learning techniques and tools. This degree offers national best practice work experience and job placement, preparing students for the needs of the South Australian, Australian and international technology industry and public service sectors.
