Overview

The Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) provides the opportunity for bachelor-qualified, currently practising registered nurses and registered paramedics to qualify with a Bachelor of Midwifery. Students acquire the skills and knowledge to manage normal pregnancy and childbirth and provide effective postnatal, maternal and newborn care in any maternity setting. They will learn how to provide safe and reliable care that meets the individual psychological, emotional, physical, social and spiritual needs of women and their families. Students will undertake a variety of clinical units throughout the course in maternity hospitals and community facilities.
