This degree has been designed in collaboration with police and law enforcement agencies to prepare and develop the professional practice of those wishing to enter careers in law enforcement. You will graduate with a strong foundation in both skills and knowledge directly relevant to policing/law enforcement.
In particular, the NSW Police Force recognises academic and tertiary qualifications as part of recruitment eligibility. This degree helps prepare those who wish to join the NSW Police Force and complete the Associate Degree in Policing Practice as part of their initial police training (subject to the NSW Police Forces professional suitability requirements).
Successful completion of two years of the Bachelor of Policing and Public Safety will result in the awarding of maximum academic points in the police recruitment process. Furthermore, successful completion of two years of the Bachelor of Policing and Public Safety as well as the Associate Degree in Policing Practice will result in the awarding of both degrees.
Applied policing, criminology, emergency management, intelligence, police investigations, policing, public safety, terrorism awareness and opportunities for international exchange/study programs.
