Overview

This degree prepares graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to progress to postgraduate studies and training in psychology for those intending to pursue registration as a psychologist. The psychology sequence provides comprehensive coverage of psychology, including lifespan development, biological, social and abnormal psychology, individual differences, psychological and research methods, as well as other areas of applied psychology. The Arts component offers specialisations and the choice of more than 20 majors and minors in the humanities, social sciences and visual arts to encourage students to design their own academic program to reflect their intellectual interests and career aspirations.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: As for Year 12 or equivalent.
