Overview

If you're interested in psychology and audiology, then the Bachelor of Psychological Science and Master of Clinical Audiology package is designed for you.

You’ll gain an understanding of clinical psychology, abnormal and health psychology, behavioural neuroscience, social psychology, cognition, developmental psychology and psychological interventions.

With a wide range of psychology electives available, you can focus on clinical neuroscience or learn about the psychology of culture and global citizenship, human relationships or even animal-human relationships. You can also choose subjects from areas such as criminology, marketing, genetics and more.

Graduates who meet the entry requirements for the Master of Clinical Audiology can turn their passion for helping people into specialised knowledge and practical skills. You’ll learn how to prevent hearing, tinnitus and balance disorders, plus assessment techniques and identifying treatment options.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Majors

Audiology (Master of Clinical Audiology only), Psychological Science.

Potential Career Outcomes

Upon completion of this course package you could work in major hospitals, private audiology clinics and research facilities.

Possible roles include:
  • Clinical audiologist (private practice)
  • Clinical audiologist (institutional)
  • Research audiologist

Using your Psychological Science degree possible roles include: public health worker, rehabilitation worker and youth worker.
