Overview

Students graduating with this qualification have the potential to undertake key roles in private industry, research organisations, and government departments.

By studying chemistry and business management, you'll have the technical skills required of a practicing scientist and the management skills to be an effective manager and leader – a highly attractive combination for employers.

In your first year, you'll explore core science concepts across physical, life, data and mathematical science disciplines and undertake foundations courses in accounting, and management. From your second year, you will major in chemistry while completing the required business management courses. Your final year of study may include an industry-linked science project.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
