University of Adelaide - All Adelaide Campus
As a business-studies teacher, with specific expertise teaching in the middle years, you'll help your students understand how the commercial world works—and how they can make it work for them.
Develop your digital capabilities in our eLearning Program - the first and only one of its kind for Education students in Australia. All Bachelor of Teaching students participate in the School of Education's eLearning Program, that requires students to own an iPad with pencil and keyboard. The University of Adelaide will assist you with buying one via a subsidy. We will show you how to use your own iPad with pencil and keyboard to its full teaching potential so you can earn Apple Teacher status. You might even do your first year placement in an Apple Distinguished School.
In our Bachelor of Teaching (Middle) with Bachelor of Business Management you'll:
You'll also:
You'll graduate ready to register as a teacher in South Australia, across Australia and internationally (check local jurisdictions for specific criteria that may apply). You'll also be well prepared for business and management roles in the public and private sectors, and particularly in educational settings. Plus, an education background will prove invaluable in a wide range of careers servicing communities beyond the classroom.
The Bachelor of Teaching is for students who have not previously undertaken university study. If you have already commenced a degree, you should consider completing that degree and then apply for the Master of Teaching (Middle and Secondary).
Students completing the requirements of the Bachelor of Teaching are eligible to gain credit towards the Master of Teaching (Middle and Secondary).
Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE): Prior to commencing fourth year of the degree, students must successfully complete both the literacy and numeracy components of the LANTITE. The LANTITE is administered through ACER. The University of Adelaide will reimburse you when you successfully complete the Literacy component of the test at your first attempt.
This double degree program provides a professional qualification that is recognised for teacher registration purposes in South Australia. In most cases the qualification is portable to other states and overseas countries.
The ATAR and Selection Rank profile is not available for this course.
