Overview


The course equips students with the knowledge and skills to develop entrepreneurial capabilities that are transferable to different work and organisational situations. You will develop and apply high-level investigative, critical thinking, communication, negotiation, organisation and problem-solving skills. You'll identify opportunities, initiate and develop new ideas for ventures or start-ups and use analytical skills in the assessment, evaluation and analysis of market information. These real-world projects require clear communication through storytelling and a pitch to gather support for entrepreneurial initiatives.

Completion of this course provides a pathway into undergraduate courses in STEM and other disciplines at Victoria University.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Majors

Potential Career Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a higher education certificate and will be eligible for credits towards undergraduate degree courses at Victoria University. Career outcomes include, but are not limited to, entrepreneur, small business owner, intrapreneur, development manager, start-up founder, operations /procurement manager, product manager in the fields of Information Technology, Biomedicine, Science, Sports Science, Law, Business, and Arts.
