La Trobe’s economics major will show you how to apply economic principles to develop government policy, create business solutions and understand the choices people make.

Offered through La Trobe’s Bachelor of Business, in this fascinating major you'll analyse important issues such as inequality, unemployment, environmental sustainability, digital transformation and economic development.

With La Trobe's Bachelor of Business, you’ll develop solid foundations in business and learn how to thrive in a digitally disrupted world. You’ll gain foundational knowledge and enterprise skills in management, organisational structure, data analytics, ethical business practices and more. You'll also have the flexibility to choose from a wide range of majors and minors.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
