Bachelor of Mathematics (Data Science)

Discover ways to analyse and interpret vast amounts of data to provide intelligent business solutions. Learn to solve complex problems through quantifying and understanding data.

Study, balanced mix of courses in mathematics, information technology and data science. In first year, you'll focus on building your mathematical and programming skills with courses in calculus, statistical methods, fundamentals of programming and databases. You'll then move into applied data science studies, learning about areas such as web development, data structures, mathematical communication and mathematical modelling. In final year, you'll develop skills in programming and networking, project management and analytics.

Gain hands-on experience through, major maths project or as part of the Maths Clinic program and work on, real-world challenge to strengthen your abilities in research, analysis and interpretation of data.
